Visit the World Famous Balancing Rock. Located on Long Island, NS. This Rock is part of the Columnar basalt formations which line much of St. Mary's Bay Shore.
Follow Hwy. 217 from Digby, take one shore ferry ride to Long Island, then continue on Hwy 217 for approximately 4 km to the Balancing Rock parking lot. Take a short hike through the woods, down the steps to a spectacular view of St. Mary's Bay and the Balancing Rock. |
